Our Mission: Lines of Effort
-
Benevolence
TIO-P endeavors to care for the needs of our service members when they are not met by the military or other veteran services. This LOE includes medical care, therapeutics, and, in the very worst case, funerary support.
-
Advocacy
TIO service members are good at helping others and helping ourselves, but often lack the resources to do so. Advocacy means education, networking, and sustained representation on enduring issues.
-
Community
Let’s get together – then stay connected. We want to keep in touch with the community through mentorship, memorial workouts, veteran recruitment, seminars, fundraisers, and an annual retreat.
-
Legacy
The TIO program has a quiet but important history. TIO-P will keep track of the pictures and stories that make up our collective past, to ensure the continuation of our heritage while honoring our fallen and their families.
When Hurricane Ian struck Tampa in 2024, our world turned upside down. Our home was flooded, uninhabitable, and our family, like so many others, was suddenly displaced.
We didn’t know where to turn, but TIO-P showed up.
You didn’t just offer words, you offered action. You helped cover housing costs while we found our footing. You gave our family stability in the middle of chaos, and that kind of support goes beyond charity.
TIO-P didn’t ask us to jump through hoops. You saw the need and answered it with urgency, dignity, and care. We’re forever grateful for what you’ve done, and we hope others know just how real your impact is.
With sincere thanks,
The Godeaux Family, 2024
My father’s health was in a severe decline - we suspected he might have suffered a stroke or some kind of episode. I was in the middle of Chief season but needed to be there for my family… TIO-P informed us that the organization would book the next day flight free of charge. It was a huge blessing and helped me feel better financially and mentally to be able to support my family in a time of need.
I am eternally thankful that we take care of our own and proud to be a part of such a family of good dudes and dudettes that can answer the call to people in need.
With heartfelt gratitude,
